The Liquify effect creates organic, flowing distortions that make your image appear to be melting or underwater.
How it works
Liquify uses procedural noise to generate natural-looking distortion patterns. The effect creates smooth, flowing movements that can be controlled in speed and complexity. The distortion is based on Perlin noise, which creates organic patterns that avoid the mechanical look of simpler distortion effects.
Use cases
- Creating underwater or heat distortion effects
- Simulating melting or flowing liquid visuals
Controllers
| Name | Type | Description | Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intensity | Number | Controls the strength of the distortion | 0-100 |
| Control | Number | Controls the animation speed/position | 0-100 |
| Zoom | Number | Adjusts the scale of the view | 0-10 |
| Complexity | Number | Controls the detail level of the distortion | 0-10000 |
| Noise scale | Number | Adjusts the scale of the noise pattern | 0.01+ |
| Blobs | Number | Adjusts the blob-like quality of distortion | 0+ |
Tip
The Control parameter works well with audio reactivity using the Cumulative option in Audio Impact automations.
