Audio Impact Automation makes properties react to your audio, creating dynamic visualizations that pulse, change, or move with your music. This is one of the most powerful features for creating music-reactive visuals in Vizzy.

How it works

Audio Impact Automation analyzes your audio in real-time and maps the audio intensity to a range between your specified minimum and maximum values. When your audio is quiet, the value will be closer to the minimum; when your audio is loud, the value will be closer to the maximum.

Controllers

NameTypeDescriptionRange
Min valueVariesThe value when audio is quietDepends on property type
Max valueVariesThe value when audio is loudDepends on property type
Lower limitNumberThreshold below which audio won’t trigger a reaction0-5000
SensitivityNumberHow responsive the automation is to audio0-1
SmoothingNumberHow much to smooth transitions between values0-1
CumulativeBooleanWhether values accumulate over timeOn/Off

Advanced settings

Delta smoothing

Delta smoothing provides additional control over how the automation responds to audio changes:

NameTypeDescriptionRange
Delta smoothBooleanEnable delta smoothingOn/Off
Delta amountNumberHow quickly values decay0-1
Delta thresholdNumberMinimum change required to trigger an increase0-1

Audio analyzer

You can select which audio analyzer to use as the source for your automation. This allows you to create different automations that react to different aspects of your audio.

Supported property types

Audio Impact Automation works with various property types:

  • Number - For properties like position, scale, opacity, etc.
  • Color - For color changes that react to audio
  • Range - For properties that use a range of values

Other types

There are many property types in Vizzy. Not all of them are supported here!

Smoothing for natural movement

Increase the smoothing value to create more natural, flowing movements that don’t jump abruptly with every beat. This is especially useful for creating a professional look.

Sensitivity adjustment

If your automation isn’t responding enough to your audio, try increasing the sensitivity. If it’s responding too much, decrease the sensitivity.

Cumulative effects

Enable the Cumulative option to create effects that build up over time, like an object that keeps growing larger with each beat.

Examples
